Aura defeat ICC PurPur

The ICC PurPur might have been an inexperienced team, but a win is always a win. The ICC won the toss and elected to bat first on a dusty pitch. The top order batted poorly, with only tail ender Azees making 39 off 69 balls. The ICC put up a total of 108 with 22 extras. Polonowita bowled well with figures of 3/6 and Ratnayake with figures of 3/18. Cash bagged 2 and Illangange and Alnwick bagged a wicket each. The Knights chased the total in 14 overs, with Dharmasena making a 46, Alnwick with an unbeaten 44 and Wijenayake an unbeaten 13. Azees took the wicket of Dharmasena.

Aura announce lineup for Assassins match

The Last time these two teams met, Aura plainly flattened the Assassins. But this time around, things wont be easy for the Knights. Detail analysis from the scouts, state that the Assassins are now as good as Aura, but on the brighter side the team fitness is low and the team has just recently lost their league match last friday. Aura on the other hand are fit as a fiddle, and havent lost the last 8 matches which includes two matches against league leaders Electric Mayhem and a match against West Indian Giants the TT Lions. Aura manager Eurycles, has announced that he would be playing his best squad with the best in terms of batting, as the finest point for the Assassins are their bowling. Ratnayake and Tikiri has been dropped, while Dawson and Baddegama will play. Surprisingly, Fred Murray has been elected as the captain for the team.

The team for sunday:

B. Alnwick
M. Dharmasena
M. Wijenayake
H. Duminda (wk)
R. Baddegama
K. Cuncheer
F. Murray (c)
S. Dawson
P. Cash
P. Polonowita
I. Illangange
